From Play to Work with CANDY by LODISPOTTO, Part Two

CANDY by LODISPOTTO, a new line launched by LODISPOTTO last year, is the brand’s venture into casual clothing. As I mentioned in my last post, CANDY by LODISPOTTO sports playful colors and cute design details, and are incredibly versatile and can be paired for outfits you can wear not only when you go shopping or meet with friends. Using the CANDY items introduced in part one, I will show you how you can create these outfits.

I have been really into white clothing recently, perhaps because summer is almost upon us. CANDY’s white skirt with pink stripes is one of them. The flare design of the skirt gives it an especially elegant and feminine feel, which also makes it perfect for a cute work outfit. Its color makes it easy to pair the skirt with tops of many different colors. To also coordinate with the pink-colored stripes, I chose LIZ LISA’s lavender back ribbon knit top from last year’s summer collection.

The tulle sleeves and tulle ribbon at the back of the top add a cute airiness to the outfit. Not to mention the gauzy fabric keeps you cool in warmer weather. The ribbon details at the cuffs of the sleeves also match the stripes at the waistband and the hem of the skirt. To top it all off, I paired this outfit with the pink LIZ LISA ribbon and frill tote also from last year’s summer collection. Since the top and skirt are essentially plain-colored, they bring out the extravagant details of the bag even more. Who says you can’t look cute and professional at work (or a virtual work meeting)?

I love wearing shorts in the summertime. Thankfully, I work for a company that allows me to wear shorts in the summer, but not all shorts are appropriate and it could be hard to find a pair that works for the office. The pink CANDY checked shorts in the previous blog post hit all the right notes: It’s of a longer length and it fits loosely around the hips and legs, making it an acceptable piece to wear to and for work. The bonus? It works well with blouses, like this one from LIZ LISA’s winter collection this year.

I especially love this LIZ LISA blouse because of its tied neck design and the frill and lace details at the cuffs. It’s work-appropriate and fashionable at the same time, and it’s the perfect girly complement to the shorts. Even though it’s from the winter collection, it’s made of a thin material and for the purpose of layering. So it is not stifling even if you wear it in the summer. This combination makes for a cute work outfit that you can wear to a date or a hangout with friends after you leave the office.

Mixing and matching the CANDY items themselves can also create cute outfits, but these will be strictly for home or casual wear.
